DENVER (KDVR) – When it comes to new technology, someone always has to test it out to make sure it works correctly.

Usually, that consists of using computer programs to access certain types of information.

In Denver, Nick Macomber with GoFast Jet Pack jumped from a roof of the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Denver to test out a jet pack.

Fortunately, everything went well and he was able to fly around for about 30 seconds.

The owner of the company says it was a test flight for the world record attempt that is scheduled for July.

Someone will wear a jet pack and step off the tallest structure in the Southern Hemisphere.
