OKLAHOMA CITY – One man is recovering after police say he was assaulted with a baseball bat early Monday morning.

Officers say the attack happened at a party, which got out of control.

Shortly after midnight, police were called to the house near Meridian Ave. and S.W. 29th St.

Police say one neighbor was having a party when the person living next door heard a noise and went to check it out.

That’s when the victim says the man who was throwing the party hit him over the head with a baseball bat.

We’re told the victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.

After the attack, the alleged suspect fled the scene.
