The water from all the recent rain is helping the Red River look more like a river again.

According to KFDX, over the weekend the Red River outside of Burkburnett, Texas rose two and a half feet.

The rain has put a small dent in the severe drought that has devastated much of North Texas and Oklahoma.

More rain is expected to come to Oklahoma this week.
