New: Officials identify both men found dead inside Mannford home

Update: 7/10 – Authorities have identified the second man who was found dead in a Pawnee County home.

The medical examiner’s office has confirmed that man to be 53-year-old Don Ray Stanford.

On June 18, authorities found Stanford and Ward Bartlett dead inside of their Mannford home.

Officials say Stanford stayed at Bartlett’s home.

The medical examiner is still working to determine the men’s cause of death.

However, authorities say it does appear both men died of gunshot wounds.  A firearm was found inside the home.

Update: 6/20 – Investigators have identified one of the two men found dead inside a home in the 3500 block of W. Basin Rd. in Mannford earlier this week.

Ward Ray Bartlett, 60, was found dead inside his home Wednesday by Pawnee County Sheriff deputies when they were called to the house for a welfare check.

The medical examiner’s office will determine the identification of the other man found inside the home.

MANNFORD, Okla. – Officials are investigating the death of two Oklahoma men.

A healthcare worker called the Pawnee County Sheriff’s Department just after 12:00 p.m. today asking that deputies check the welfare of a patient at his home.

Deputies say when they entered the home, they found two men dead.

The Pawnee County Sheriff has requested the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation assist with the double death investigation.

Officials say the bodies were likely in the home for a few days.

The Medical Examiner is working on determining cause of death.

According to OSBI, agents are conducting interviews and collecting information and evidence from the scene.
