OKLAHOMA CITY – The dog days of summer are here!

Hundreds of dog lovers and admirers braved the heat and came out to the second annual Dogapalooza 2014 at Bob Moore Subaru.

This fun event is a opportunity to adopt a dog and benefit the Safe Haven Animal Rescue Shelter dedicated to finding homes for homeless and abandon animals.

More than 100 animals enjoyed a free dog wash.

There were plenty of soapy pails and wagging tails.

The event was a huge success.

“Today is about giving back to the community, helping find homes for animals  and about making friends.,” said Dustin McIntosh, of Bob Moore Subaru.

NewsChannel 4’s Ashley Kringen brought along her two dogs, Dixie the Dachshund and Cowboy Buck.

She signed autographs for dog lovers and took a lot of pictures with the friendly people and dogs strolling through Dogapalooza.

Dominator 4 was parked outside the front of Bob Moore Subaru and when a couple of dogs jumped inside it became “Doganator” 4.
