MORGAN COUNTY, Mo. (KCTV) – A 26-year-old bride-to-be was killed while on her way to her bachelorette party.

Collette Moreno was the passenger in a car that was attempting to pass another car when it hit an oncoming vehicle.

Ashley Theobald told KCTV she was trying to pass a semi, whose exhaust fumes were causing Moreno to have an asthmastic reaction.

She later died from her injuries at a nearby hospital.

Moreno was supposed to marry Jesse Arcobasso next month, who is now trying to explain her death to her 5-year-old son.

“He doesn’t quite understand everything just yet. I know it’s going to take time,” said Arcobasso.
