OKLAHOMA CITY – A 64-year-old man was arrested after a confrontation with a gun over Lortab.

Authorities say 64-year-old Gerald Murphy confronted a man at a local apartment complex and asked the victim if he had any Lortab.

When the victim told Murphy he didn’t, police say Murphy continued to argue with him.

At one point, investigators say Murphy pulled out a gun and tried to point it at the victim, who was able to wrestle it away.

When officers arrived, they asked Murphy about his involvement in the fight.

According to the arrest affidavit, officers had to ask Murphy several times about his role in the fight, which he replied, “Are you f****** deaf?”

When police began speaking with witnesses, they say Murphy sped by in his motorized wheelchair and hit one of the housing authority officers, knocking him out-of-the-way.

An officer said Murphy also forced his way past police to try and run into the victim.

When he wouldn’t cooperate, he was put on the ground and handcuffed.

Authorities say he hit his head, splitting his lip.

Murphy was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and disorderly conduct.
