OKLAHOMA CITY  – Looking for plans for the 4th of July? Celebrate Independence Day with a free concert!

The OKC Philharmonic celebrates Independence Day with a free concert and fireworks display.

“RED, WHITE & BOOM” will be hosted at the State Fair Park Entertainment Plaza on July 3, 2014, at 8:30 p.m.

Conducted by Joel Levine, the Philharmonic is joined by the Philharmonic Pops Chorale and guest vocalist Mike Eldred, beloved tenor and respected for his role as “Tony” in West Side Story, whose cast recording featuring Eldred was released on NAXOS International, to provide a tremendous concert that the whole family will enjoy.

A dazzling fireworks show will conclude the evening’s festivities following the concert at approximately 10:00 p.m.

The State Fair Park can be accessed through Gate 5 or 6 located on West Reno or North May Avenue between Reno and 10th Street in Oklahoma City.

Parking is free and gates open at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to bring personal seating for comfort on the asphalt surface of the audience area. Food vendors will be on site. Glass containers and pets are not allowed.
