UPLAND, Calif. – One California couple is going through a “nanny nightmare”.

Marcella and Ralph Bracamonte fired their live-in nanny three weeks ago, but they say the woman refuses to leave.

KTLA 5 reports the nanny, Dianne Stretton, 64,  is now threatening to take legal action against the couple.

The Bracamonte’s placed an ad on Craigslist looking for a retiree to watch their three children, ages 11, 4, and 16-months, and help around the house in exchange for room and  board.

The couple claims she was great at first on the job, then after a couple of weeks she only came out of her room when it was time to eat.

Stretton claims she has health problems.

According to KTLA 5, the Bracamonte’s tried everything to get the unwanted nanny to leave, even turning off the cable and internet and locking the fridge at night.

However, the nanny got more upset and is threatening to sue them for breach of contract, wrongful termination, and false imprisonment.
