WASHITA COUNTY, Okla. -  Answers may soon be revealed as to what happened to an Oklahoma woman who went missing more than seven years ago.

Melissa Flores went missing in January of 2007. Her car and personal belongings were found outside of her on again off again boyfriend's house.

That boyfriend was Ronnie Denny Jr. ronniedenny

The OSBI says Denny was arrested Monday night for first degree murder. They will not however confirm or deny whether the arrest is connected to the Flores case.

Those in Cordell, Oklahoma say Melissa Flores was a wonderful mother and a nice person. The man arrested was the father of one of her children.

We spoke with Ronnie Denny 6 months after Melissa went missing. Here's what he said at the time.

Ronnie said, "I loved her. I mean she was my girlfriend, the mother of my kid."

The Flores family was not available for comment today.

Denny is now awaiting extradition back to Oklahoma. His arrest came as a result of a sealed indictment. The indictment should be unsealed once he is back in Washita County. Until then we will not know any of the details surrounding his arrest.
