WOODWARD, Okla. – Officials believe skeletal remains found near a Woodward prison may be those of an escaped inmate.

The inmate broke free from the William S. Key Correctional Center during the winter of 2012.

He was never seen or heard from again.

According to the Woodward News, personnel from the Department of Corrections and the Oklahoma Medical Examiners Office spent the day processing the scene and searching for more information.

Jerry Massie from the Department of Corrections says it is possible the remains are those of Michael Weber.
