CHOCTAW, Okla. – A mega retailer is coming to the town of Choctaw!

A new Walmart is opening Wednesday, July 16, following a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony at 7:30 p.m.

The new store will provide Choctaw residents with low prices on a broad assortment of merchandise and offers Walmart’s free site to store program, enabling customers to choose from nearly a million additional online items that can be ordered on Walmart’s website and picked up at the Choctaw store for free.

The new store employs approximately 300 full and part-time associates.

“Walmart is excited to be a part of the community just in time for summer,” said Deisering.  “We have everything you need for your picnics, cookouts and outdoor fun.”

The Choctaw store also offers a beer selection located by the dairy section.

In addition to groceries, the store features quality, value-priced general merchandise, including electronics and pool toys. The pharmacy offers a full range of products and services. Pharmacy team members can answer product and prescription questions and customers can ask about health and wellness solutions. Choctaw residents can easily transfer prescriptions and order refills on the go with the Walmart mobile app for iPhone and Android.
