Portland, OR (KPTV) – A man dressed like a pirate, armed with a machete and carrying a cross attacked a car on Portland’s east side Tuesday, according to witnesses.

Portland police said Konrad Bass, 30, was high on LSD at the time.

Once police responded, paramedics took him to a hospital to be treated.

The alleged machete attack happened at Southeast Seventh Avenue and Morrison Street.

Fox 12 first received word of the incident when a witness tweeted the man was “stabbing a car with a sword” in front of Jay’s Garage, a car repair shop located at 734 S.E. Seventh Avenue.

Because Bass was given citations at the hospital and not booked into jail, no mug shot was available.

Police said Bass now faces charges of disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and menacing.
