Don’t be surprised if you see a new product on Walmart Shelves – Taco plates.

An inventor in Arkansas says the store chain put in an order for a million of his plastic taco holders Tuesday.

Hugh Jarratt was on of 800 inventors to go before Walmart buyers to pitch their products in the company’s first-ever “Open-Call” for U.S. inventors.

It’s part of a new initiative to get more American products on store shelves.

“It kind of hit us for a second, I was like, ‘Okay, so we got to produce a million taco plates.  Where do we start?,” said Jarratt.

Jarratt says he and his wife and business partner Nicole are working with a local plastics molding company to produce the plates.
