EDMOND, Okla. – Officials have released a new traffic alert for Edmond drivers.

The alert may cause a few drivers to have to take a detour on Tuesday, July 15.

City crews in Edmond will begin upgrading a railroad crossing on one of Edmond’s busiest streets.

Drivers can expect at least one lane to be closed on Danforth just west of Broadway and east of Thomas Drive.

The repairs are estimated to be complete by the end of the day on Thursday.

Work has been scheduled for this time period to minimize traffic issues and ensure completion before the start of the upcoming school year in mid-August.
