OKLAHOMA COUNTY, Okla. – It was a wild and confusing day at the Oklahoma County Jail today.

Authorities say Jamal Black, 21, went to jail with a bail bondsman to surrender, but ended up making a break for it instead.

Deputies later located Black hiding in a parking garage.

When police took him back to jail, initial reports indicate officials told him he was free to go because the warrant for his arrest had not been officially posted from his missed court date.

However, right before he could get out the door, the warrant came through and officials re-arrested Black.

He remains in jail for failing to appear in court on charges of:

  • Possession of marijuana
  • Driving with suspended license
  • No seat belt
  • Contributing to delinquency of a minor
