High water rescues along I-35 after heavy rains

SANGER, Tex. –  Storms have ravaged parts of north Texas with severe flooding.

Roadways north of Dallas in Sanger, Tex. were flooded after heavy rain overnight into Thursday morning.

Some of the worst flooding could be seen along I-35 in Denton and Cooke counties.

Roads were closed as dozens of vehicles became stranded in rising waters.

At least eight people also had to be rescued from their vehicles.

An estimated 11 inches of rain fell in some areas.

So far,  there have been no reports of any flood damage to homes there.
