Officials: Deputy’s vehicle sparks arson investigation

ENID, Okla. – Enid Fire officials are working an arson investigation involving a Garfield County deputy’s car, according to Sheriff Jerry Niles with Garfield County.

The car was at the deputy’s home in the 1700 block of Pawnee when the fire erupted, according to Enid Police Capt. Jack Morris.

The flames were large enough to cause damage to a neighboring van.

No injuries have been reported.

The Garfield County Sheriff’s Office is assisting with the investigation, according to Niles.

No information on possible suspects has been given.
