Flash flood watch in effect, strong storms moving in during the early morning

FLASH FLOOD WATCH in effect through Wednesday evening for most of western, northwestern, and central Oklahoma including the Oklahoma City Metro.

Look for partly cloudy skies through the day today with highs topping out in the upper 80s to near 90 degrees.

A few widely isolated showers and thunderstorms may form in the western half of the state but much bigger rain is on the way tomorrow.

Look for heavy rain and thunderstorms to begin early Wednesday morning and continue through the entire day over most of Oklahoma.

Rainfall totals will generally range from 1-3″ with a few local totals to near 4″.

Street and creek flooding will be likely, so be sure to turn around, don’t drown!

Cool weather and sunshine will finish out the work week with a great weekend on tap.
