OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Emergency crews responded to a deadly accident in northeast Oklahoma City this afternoon.

According to initial reports, a military truck hauling a large shipping container was going under a train underpass when the container came off and landed on a passenger vehicle near northeast 23rd and Sooner Road this afternoon.

Authorities say the container was carrying weightlifting and exercise equipment.

One person died and one person was injured in the accident.

Officials initially believed a train car had fallen off of some train tracks.

According to KFOR’s Paige Hill, the military is doing their own investigation to see why the driver did not know the specifics of his container and the bridge.

Bridge inspectors have confirmed the bridge was not damaged in the accident.
