Deadline: Last chance to register to vote in runoff election

OKLAHOMA CITY –  Friday is the last day to register to vote in the upcoming runoff election.

The Oklahoma State Election Board say  voters have until Friday Aug. 1 to register to vote in the Aug. 26 Runoff Primary Election.

Democrats and Republicans will decide which candidates will move on to the general election in a number of races.

These include the Republican race for U.S. Representative between Steve Russell and Patrice Douglas.

On the Democratic side, it’s between Tom Guild and Al McAffrey.

Also, Democrats will decide who will face Republican Joy Hofmeister for the State Superintendent position.

Those candidates are John Cox and Freda Deskin.

Democrats will also decide who will run against James Lankford for the unexpired U.S. Senate seat.

Those candidates are Connie Johnson and Jim Rogers.

To vote in next month’s election, you must register by tomorrow (Friday).
