CHANNELVIEW, Texas – A 90-year-old grandma, armed with a 12-gauge shotgun, held off a SWAT team for four hours before surrendering.

Officers were responding to a 911 call from construction workers next door, who told them she threatened them with a gun.

Police say 90-year-old Eleouise Adcock was upset the workers were loading dirt into a barge behind her home.

A towing company has purchased the land around Adcock’s home.

One neighbor says Adcock is the last holdout, refusing to sell her property.

The neighbor says she is also irritated the company continues to try and buy it.

A negotiator talked the grandmother into surrendering and she was escorted by paramedics to a hospital for an evaluation.

However, no charges are expected.
