11-year-old flown to hospital after boating mishap

LAWTON, Okla. – An 11-year-old boy was rushed by a medical chopper to the hospital after suffering a gruesome injury at an Oklahoma lake.

According to KSWO, the boy was knee-boarding at Lake Lawtonka Sunday afternoon when his foot was caught in a boat’s propeller.

The boy was riding along the boat when the driver put the vessel into reverse.

KSWO reports he has undergone surgery to fix the damaged bone in his foot.

He is expected to be released from the hospital Tuesday.
