KANSAS CITY, Kans. – Some of the officers at the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department can be a colorful bunch of people, with a sense of humor.

A birthday prank they played is getting a lot of attention on social media.

Officers covered Officer Stuart Littlefield’s police car with 4,000 sticky notes to mark his 50th birthday.

It was even color-coordinated:  yellow body, blue doors, and pink tires.

“They got me good this time. They got me good this time. This was supposed to be a low-key birthday. When you’re 50, you don’t want anyone to know about it. and that kind of blew up in my face,” said Officer Stuart Littlefield.

The police department points out this was all done ‘off the clock’, and the workers paid for the notes themselves.

Officer Littlefield says once he figures out which officers were involved, he will get them back with a practical joke of his own.
