WASHINGTON – General Motors is telling customers of certain recalled vehicles to park outside since the SUVs may catch fire.

The latest recall covers about 189,000 SUVs in North America.

The models affected are from 2006 and 2007 and include the Chevy Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Buick Rainer, Isuzu Ascender and Saab 97-X.

The company wants owners to park their vehicles outside until faulty power window switches can be repaired.

Authorities say the issue can cause the vehicles to catch fire.

GM says parts to fix the problem won’t be ready until October at the earliest.

Dealers have been ordered to stop selling the SUVs as used cars until they are fixed.
