OMAHA, NE – You know his face.

You certainly know his name.

Anderson Cooper travels the world covering the biggest stories, but there’s a new Mr. Cooper in town.

Meet the other Anderson, a 12-week old chihuahua.

Pam Weise with the Nebraska Humane Society says this little guy had a rough start in life.

He was dropped off as a stray, so tiny and malnourished, that the future for this star was uncertain.

She said they weren’t sure if he was going to make it.

They decided the power of a named might help him.

“He needs a big name, he needs something that’s just going to help him get through life. Then, someone suggested Cooper and then someone said what about Anderson Cooper…,” said Pam Weise.

It turns out puppy Anderson enjoys playing with kittens and likes to eat cat food for dinner.

But despite his feline tendencies, and human name, he is indeed a canine.

And now that he has a name, the next step is to find him a home.
