Police: OKC man hit by train and then breaks into a car

OKLAHOMA CITY – An Oklahoma City man is facing several charges after he was hit by a train last week.

On Friday, officers searched for a victim after a train conductor said he believe he hit someone near Southeast 44th  Street and Lindsay.

A few hours later, police arrested Nicholas Givens, 34, after he was allegedly caught breaking into a car.

According to police reports, Givens told police he was trying to get away from people who wanted to hurt him and he had been hit by a train earlier in the day and ran away.

Givens is charged with larceny of a motor vehicle and interfering with a railroad.
