OKLAHOMA – A survey by Huntington Bank finds supplies for a middle-school student this year averages about $132.

That’s up about $100 from last year.

Meantime, outfitting a high schooler will run you an average of $350 this year.

That’s about $20 more than last year.

The group says as school budgets tighten, students are being asked to buy more supplies to make up the difference.

Many teachers also spend their own money for school materials.
