OKLAHOMA CITY –  It was an exciting afternoon along the Riversport Adventure area by the Oklahoma River.

Five finalists from the Bob Moore Blood Drive were on hand for their chance to win a new Ford Fiesta.

The Oklahoma Blood Institute (OBI) has partnered with the Bob Moore Automotive Group since 2000.

During that time, the community minded automotive group has donated a car each year to help the OBI with this exciting event.

The winner of the Ford Fiesta was Art Myers of Edmond.

“It feels wonderful. It feels great,” said Myers as his grandchildren piled into the back of the new car.

NewsChannel 4 and KAUT Freedom 43 TV anchor/reporter Lacey Lett helped announce the car giveaway before a crowd of nearly 100 people.

One lucky spectator won a Kevin Durant OKC Thunder jersey.

Myers told her that the new car smells great and most of his grand kids could fit in the backseat.

The Bob Moore Blood Drive received 1,130 blood donations .

“One donated unit of blood means life to as many as three people,” said Leslie Gamble, Director of Community Relations for the Oklahoma Blood Institute.

“Bob Moore is an incredible partner and helps our community so much,” Gamble added.
