Officials: Tragic plane crash kills one, sends one to the hospital in critical condition

CARTER COUNTY, Okla. – One man is dead and another was airlifted in critical condition following a plane crash late Saturday, according to officials.

Authorities say it happened near the town of Ardmore in Carter County.

We’re told the 1967 Piper Cherokee plane was being flown by a 63-year-old man when it went down.

Sadly, the pilot died in the crash.

Troopers say there was one passenger on board.

Officials have not stated the cause of the crash.
