OKLAHOMA CITY - It was a long night for residents in the Village.

A manhunt started after two suspects ran from an officer.

Police say the car they were in was reported stolen earlier this week.

It happened near Sunnymeade and Kent Avenue.

Air One, OKC Police Department's helicopter searched for the suspects throughout the morning.

Jeffrey and Caitlin Merritt say they decided to move to the neighborhood because they wanted to start their life together in a safe community.

Jeffrey says the manhunt came as a shock to him.

"It's very concerning. You know, the Village is a quiet neighborhood.  When you hear something like this... it's very frightening. But I know the police responded and had it taken care of," said Merritt

Ray Weber says he's lived in the Village for over thirty years and has seen nothing like this.

But he says it's opened up his eyes and if it happens again, he'll be prepared.

"We're living in some strange times. I don't want to be the last person on the block to not be ready," Weber said.

Now, the suspect who stayed in the vehicle is behind bars.

Police say they are still looking for the two that ran.
