Later tonight, a few thunderstorms will head south out of Kansas toward Ponca City, Stillwater, and Tulsa after midnight.

They’ll run out of fuel before they get anywhere near Oklahoma City, but rain-cooled air may still make it into the metro and cool us off into the low 70s by sunrise.

Monday through the rest of the work week will be brutal with highs in the upper 90s/lower triple digits and heat indices 2-3 degrees hotter than the temperatures at any given time. Rain chances are slim, but an isolated storm or two each afternoon can’t be ruled out completely.
