California patient being treated for possible Ebola exposure

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – A patient who may have been exposed to the Ebola virus is being treated in California.

According to KTXL, the patient is being kept in an isolated negative pressure room while specialists work to confirm or rule out an Ebola infection.

The process may take several days.

The Sacramento County Department of Health and Human Services says all appropriate protocols are being followed.

Two Americans, who contracted the virus last month in Liberia, are being treated in Atlanta.
