Recall: Children’s water bottles sold at Wal-Mart, Target recalled

A children’s water bottle that was sold a retailers across the country is being recalled because it could injure kids.

Brita is recalling 242,000 children’s water bottles because of a possible laceration hazard.

The company says the bottle’s lid can break into pieces with sharp edges.

So far, it has received 35 reports of lids breaking or cracking.

The 15 ounce bottles are six inches tall with characters like Dora the Explorer, Hello Kitty, SpongeBob Square Pants and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the side.
