MCALESTER, Okla. – A 12-year-old Oklahoma boy died after he was shot in the head by a pellet gun during a sleepover with friends.

Officials say Justin Ingle died at a Tulsa hospital after he was shot in the head with a high-powered pellet gun on Friday.

Investigators say Ingle and a friend were playing when he was shot.

At this point, investigators say they are treating the incident as an accident.

However, a report will likely be turned over to the district attorney’s office after the investigation is complete.

Family and friends are hosting a benefit car wash in memory of Ingle on Saturday at the Farmer’s Market in McAlester.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., visitors can have their car washed for $5 with all proceeds going to the Ingle family.
