OU's offseason following their Sugar Bowl win has been full of ups and downs.

Several Sooners are currently attempting to gain eligibility for the 2014 season.

Frank Shannon, OU's leading returning tackler from 2013, is currently appealing a one year suspension from OU after being involved in a sexual misconduct case in February.

Shannon has been practicing with the team, but was not listed on the Sooners depth chart before the Louisiana Tech game.

OU head football coach Bob Stoops said nothing has changed with Shannon's situation.

Stoops' also wasn't sure if former Missouri star Dorial Green Beckham will stay in Norman to play with the Sooners for the 2015 season.

Green Beckham was recently ruled ineligible for the 2014 season after appealing to play immediately following his departure from Mizzou.

The St. Louis native will be eligible for the NFL draft following this football season.

Former Texas Tech quarterback Baker Mayfield was not listed on the Sooners depth chart either.

Mayfield left Tech after the 2013 season, played with OU during spring ball and has sent an appeal to the NCAA to gain eligibility for the 2014 season.

The former Red Raider still hasn't received word from the NCAA if the appeal has been approved.
