The FDA is advising consumers to be aware of fraudulent products being sold online, claiming to prevent or treat the Ebola virus.

The agency has received several consumer complaints about a variety of products touting their ability to cure the deadly disease.

However, there are no approved vaccines or drugs to prevent or treat Ebola.

Anyone promoting false products have been ordered to remove these claims immediately, or face FDA action.

People who see fraudulent claims about the virus can notify the FDA by calling 1-866-300-4374.
