EL RENO, Okla. - Authorities in El Reno are trying to identify a body that was found on Monday.

On Monday, officers were called to the 2800 block of David Dr. after a homeowner called police, saying a body had been found.

"We received a 911 call that there was an unusual odor in the yard area of this address," said El Reno Police Chief Ken Brown.

The body was found in the homeowner's backyard storage building.

"When they got to the storage area behind the residence, they saw and discovered what appeared to be the remains of a human," said Brown.

The body has been sent to the Oklahoma State Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.

At this time, officials say there are no obvious signs of foul play.

However, investigators are continuing to look into who the victim is and how they died.
