Edmond Police Department launches photography contest

EDMOND, Okla. - The Edmond Police Department is seeking submissions of local Edmond photography for the future Public Safety Center in Downtown Edmond.

Submitted photos will be judged by a panel of professionals and internal stakeholders to determine which will go on permanent display in the building upon completion in Fall 2015.

The contest is open for submissions beginning September 2nd and will run through February 16th at 5:00 p.m.

All submissions will be made online through Flickr.

A total of six categories are available for submissions including: Landscapes, Architecture/Buildings, Historical, People, Public Art, and Abstract.

The top submission in each category will win a prize in addition to being placed on display.

The overall "Best in Competition" prize will also be given.

To receive consideration, photos must be of a subject taken within the Edmond city limits.  Full contest details and rules can be found online.
