NORMAN, Okla. - An Oklahoma City couple is asking for your help in recovering priceless family items after their truck was stolen from a hotel parking lot in Norman.

The owner of the truck says it was taken in late August.  The couple was staying at the Norman Hotel after their home burned down.

If you see their truck on the road, it's not hard to miss. The truck is large, with big wheels and red flames on it. There is a reward.

We spoke with the owner who says it's the priceless sentiment behind the truck that he wants to recover.

"Woke up like a normal day, went to start my day like 8 o'clock in the morning and realized my window was bashed in in the back and the driver's door was broken into," David Leach, the truck owner says.

That was on August 16, someone stole his radio and other parts. Now fast forward ten days later to the 26th, his truck was gone.

"We parked it out front where it would be safer and whoever took it was pretty crazy to come up the front and take it, I just can't believe they would do it," Leach says.

A man in disbelief because the truck was a 20th wedding anniversary for his wife. stolenMonsterTruck

"It was a tall 4x4 red and white, it had gold flames on it, it was unique, one of a kind," Leach said.

One of a kind because the truck also had other memories inside.

"Well in the bed of the truck has my wife's deceased parent's pictures in a Tupperware container," Leach said.

He says it's been a bad year.

"Our house was burnt down on March 4, my wife's birthday, so that's the only thing we had left of her mother and her father so it means quite a bit to us," Leach says.

Now he's just hoping you might spot it somewhere and help get his memories back.

"Put yourself in my shoes, if it was your deceased parents' items, wouldn't you want it back?" Leach said.

The Norman Hotel had no security cameras outside.

Leach is offering a $2,000 reward for the return of his truck.
