OKLAHOMA CITY – Two companies are teaming up to protect police dogs across the country.

On Aug. 24, Oklahoma City K-9 Kye was stabbed while pursuing a burglary suspect.

He was rushed to surgery but never recovered from his injuries.

Tim Beachy, the owner of A Breed Apart Clothing, designed and sold shirts with Kye’s likeness on them.

The proceeds from each sale will be used to donate bullet and stab protective vests for law enforcement dogs from Vested Interest in K9s, Inc.

The online sale runs through Sept. 10.
