Teenage girl dies after fatal collision

POTTAWATOMIE COUNTY, Okla – One teenage girl is dead after a fatal collision in Pottawatomie County.

Police say 23-year-old Gerardo Martin-Delcampo was driving on Moccasin Trail around 12:38 a.m. when he lost control of his pickup truck.

The pickup truck overturned multiple times, causing a female passenger, 18-year-old Alexis Mendoza, to be ejected from the vehicle.

Mendoza was transported by mediflight to OU Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

The driver, Martin-Delcampo, was taken to St. Anthonys Hospital with an arm injury.

Martin-Delcampo and Mendoza were not wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident, according to police.
