Homeless man arrested after allegedly raping woman

OKLAHOMA CITY – A homeless man accused of raping a woman was arrested on Thursday.

According to a police report, the victim told police she was walking down the railroad tracks near Villa when an Indian man with shoulder length hair came out of the woods and grabbed her.

The woman said the man threw her over his shoulders, carried her back into the woods and raped her.

Afterwards, the woman went to the hospital and contacted police.

Police searched the area and found a man who matched the suspect’s description.

After the woman identified 49-year-old John Payahsape as her attacker, police took him into custody.

He was booked in to the Oklahoma County Jail.
