Fair Guide: What to eat, where to park, what to see at State Fair
OKLAHOMA CITY- Oklahomans rejoice!
Cooler weather is making its way into the Sooner State and the 2014 Great Oklahoma State Fair is upon us!
The Oklahoma State Fair takes place at State Fair Park just off I-44, northeast of the I-40 & I-44 intersection.
From I-44, take the NW 10th Street exit east and turn right at the 1st stoplight into State Fair Park.
Here are the tools you will need to easily navigate the fair grounds.

Each year, fair organizers release a list of the new foods fair-goers can expect to see.
Everything from a bacon explosion sundae to a Capt’n crunch chicken on a stick and of course, bacon!
Gate Admission tickets cost:
Adults (ages 12+): $10
Children (ages 6-11): $5
Children (ages 5 and under): FREE! Season Passes:$30
If you are wanting to save a little money, the Oklahoma State Fair has several discount days.
The discount days are as follows:
- Thursday, Sept. 11- Opening Day- $2
- Monday, Sept. 15- School Kids’ Day- Free admission for all children through the 12th grade.
- Tuesday, Sept. 16- Super Saver Tuesday – $3 for regular admission. Armed Forces Day- Free admission for Armed Forces personnel and spouses.
- Wednesday, Sept. 17 – Senior Citizens’ Day – Free admission for visitors 55-years-old and older.
The Oklahoma State Fair runs from Sept. 11 through Sept. 21.
