Update: All clear given after Oklahoma City elementary school after gas leak

OKLAHOMA CITY – Officials evacuated an Oklahoma City elementary school due to a sewer gas leak.

Wheeler Elementary School was evacuated around 3:00 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

Officials say contractors were working on the sewer pipes when sewer gas entered the school.

Fire crews had officials clear the entire building.

Students and teachers were all safely evacuated.

The all clear was given shortly before 3:30 p.m.
