Police: Man ‘can’t believe’ he shot his wife in the head

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WTVR) – A 42-year-old man turned himself in to police early Thursday morning after he admitted to shooting his wife in the head, Lt. Justin Miller, with the Chesterfield Police Department, said.

The 27-year-old woman was rushed to a local hospital where she died, her mother told WTVR.

Officers rushed to the couple’s home after the man called his son and said, “I can’t believe I shot my wife,” according to Lt. Miller.

Neighbors said they never noticed any problems at the house.

A “For Sale” sign was posted a few days ago, according to neighbors.
