Police: Man wanted for murder leads officers on chase, taken into custody

OKLAHOMA CITY – Over seven months after a man was found dead in southeast Oklahoma City, the alleged suspect was taken into custody.

On Sept. 13, officers were called to a home near Shields and S.E. 34th St. after a body was found.

Authorities say 43-year-old Jose Hurtado had been shot and was declared dead at the scene.

On Thursday afternoon, police were involved in a pursuit with 33-year-old Hugo Gonzalez.

After a short chase, Gonzalez was taken into custody.

Officials say he had a warrant for his arrest, saying he was wanted for the first-degree murder of Hurtado.
