Now that Apple has released its updated operating system, IOS 8, here’s what you need to know to download it.

Before the free download, make sure your photos, videos and contacts are secure.

To do this, plug your device into your computer, get into iTunes, and select “Backup now,” or go to iCloud.com and choose the backup option.

Then free up some space on your device.

**Note: If your phone tells you that there is not enough storage left, it means there is not enough storage left on the device itself. In this case, you will need to delete some photos, music or anything you don’t mind getting rid of to clear more space on your device. **

To free up some space on your phone, go to settings, usage, and see what you can delete.

You need one gigabyte of space to add IOS 8.

Once you’ve done that, plug your device into a charger and turn on Wi-Fi.

Then, go to settings for software update and wait to be connected.

The download can take a while, but once it’s done, your device will reboot itself.

IOS 8 comes with several new features including a new health app, more photo editing options, and the ability to turn off group text messages.

There’s also a new way to share within families.

IOS 8 is compatible with the iPhone 4s, 5, 5C and 5S. It is also compatible with iPads from the 2nd generation up, and the 5th generation iPod Touch.

The new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will already come pre-loaded with IOS 8.
