Job hunting? UPS looks to hire over 550 OKC residents
UPS, the world’s largest courier company, said it’s looking to hire more than 550 people in the Oklahoma City area.
The openings are a combination of seasonal and permanent jobs, and include part-time package loaders and supervisors, full- and part-time delivery drivers, and driver-helpers.
UPS offers some of the best jobs in the country. Driver jobs start at $18.67 per hour for seasonal and permanent delivery drivers.
Pay for part-time loader positions starts at $10-$11 an hour, and permanent part-time employees get health benefits and 401(k). Part-time employees are eligible for UPS’s recently enhanced Earn and Learn program, which now offers up to $25,000 in tuition assistance.
And a part-time or seasonal job is frequently a foot in the door to a career at UPS – just ask one of the many full-time UPS drivers, center managers, or senior executives who started as part-timers. In fact, six of the 10 members of UPS’s Management Committee started their UPS careers as seasonal employees.
