OKLAHOMA CITY – Authorities arrested two more people in connection to the death of a seven-year-old boy.

7-year-old Adrian Avalos died in April of 2013 after he had been left home alone.  Police say someone broke in and then set fire to the home.

Nearly a year and a half after he died, two more people have been arrested in connection with his death.  Four others were arrested last year in connection with the crime.

25-year-old Claudia Cadena and 20-year-old Albert Barboza were arrested for allegedly helping Lorese Cruz and her boyfriend, Julio Nevarez, break into the home and set it on fire.

Cruz and Nevarez were arrested for the crime last year.  They claim they did not know the little boy was inside.

Cruz allegedly told investigators she wanted to burglarize her ex-husband Antonio Guillen’s home in retaliation because he was not helping her with their daughter.

Nevarez allegedly admitted to investigators they set up the burglary.

Nevarez and Cruz are both charged with Burglary in the 1st Degree, Arson in the 1st Degree, and Murder in the 1st Degree.

Cadena and Barboza are facing similar charges.

The little boy’s mother, Noemi Lopez and her boyfriend, Antonio Guillen, were also arrested last year.  The couple faces a charge of child neglect for leaving the little boy home alone when the crime occurred.
